Little Crater Lake

Yesterday we took a drive up Mt Hood. One of the places we stopped at was Little Crater Lake. This was my first time visiting the little lake. It is only about 100 yards across, but is 45 ft deep. The water is the most intense blue you have ever seen, and the remains of trees that have fallen into the lake can be seen at the bottom. They look almost like a shipwreck down there. Very pretty.

  1. That is so cool how it just drops off. I like the relections too. I bet it's really cold!

  2. So peaceful! Would you be able to swim there in the summer?
