Veda Lake

With all the very hot weather we have been having in our area (today is supposed to reach 104 degrees, VERY unusual for this part of Oregon), and with how busy our lives have been in the past few weeks, I crave just getting away from it all. This is my favorite place to escape. Veda Lake is a secluded lake surrounded by the Mt Hood National Forest. It takes a hike to get there, but the private, quiet, serene payoff is well worth it.

  1. Beautiful picture. Oregon is a beautiful state. My son lived there back in the 90's. I visited them one time, and got locked out in the cold rain. It rains too much for me.

  2. It's very pretty! The round shape reminds me of the old sinkholes around here that people swim in.
