Cute Caterpiller

I love little worms and caterpillers like this. While some people might be grossed out by them, I think they are interesting. I always try to envision what they might look like after they have changed to a beautiful moth or butterfly!

  1. When in Oregon, always take a sojourn to Timberline and Hood River. My sis lives there.

  2. I am not into any kinds of crawlers but that one looks pretty.

  3. *shudder* If you went through the Great Gypsy Moth Infestation of 1981 and 1982 in Massachusetts, you would probably feel the same way that I do about caterpillars.

  4. Well, I haven't had any "crawly" experiences with caterpillars so I think yours is really colorful! I, too, wonder what they might look like when they change to a moth or butterfly! Fun capture for the C Day! Enjoy the rest of your week!

  7. What a great close up and such brilliant colors.
Caterpillers can be pretty in their own right but I hate when they eat the tendar new shoots coming up.
Perfect post for the letter C.

  8. I'm guessing this one will be a beauty. As long as they don't become gypsy moths, I love 'em.

  11. I too think ahead to the beautiful butterfly when I see a cute little caterpillar. When my children were young they loved to keep a caterpillar in a jar and watch the cacoon open up and let the butterfly go outside. A good nature learning experience.

  16. Caterpiller is a good C-word. There are several this week. But it is refreshing that you seem to like them. I try to think about what kind of butterfly they will become.
    Nice post!
    Best wishes,
