Salmon 'Shroom

Can anyone help me identify this small mushroom? I had never seen this type before. I was out with my camera and almost stepped on these tiny little 'shrooms. I am so glad I didn't! Their pink "salmon" hue stood out enough for me to stumble over them and then proceed capture their photograph before continuing on my way.

  11. I dunno what kind of shrooms they are, but they're cute - maybe they're baby Amanita's...don't eat 'em!

  15. It could be in the Russula family..although I don't know if those grow in Oregon. I love that you found one though. I'm a fellow Oregonian living in The Netherlands and they have the most amazing mushrooms here..including the fairytale tpe ones..the red caps with the white dots. I just love them!

  16. Usually mushrooms with brilliant colors are a warning.
So pretty but perhaps not so pretty if ingested.

  17. Oh my that is so beautiful, as if a plastic toy! Do you know if maybe it can be eaten, it looks yummy! I haven't seen any color of 'shroom here other than brown, white or black, nothing like that at all.

  18. Calling by from the ABC Wednesday photo meme, I recently posted on various mushrooms. However I did not find any so brightly coloured, I think the colour means it is poisonous.
