Juncture

This past week, we hit the juncture between summer and autumn. The weather turned, and moisture has filled our warm air. The hot sunny days are unfortunately probably a thing of the past, and with the cooler nights, the leaves have already started to change. This is what the trail I walked along on Sunday looked like. The only sounds were of the leaves falling through the woods around us, and the squish of the damp, leaf covered ground beneath our steps.

  1. That is the most comforting sound...leaves falling and the swish of walking along the damp path.
    Lovely.

  5. Of course, the rain on the west side is earlier than here on the east side....maybe we'll have showers tonight, if the dark clouds are any indication. Only a few trees are starting to turn colors.

  9. So nice. I think it is a page like out of a story book. I can imagine little children skipping up the path with baskets. Excellent!

  10. We've had a long summer this year, but it's finally beginning to cool off a bit. Autumn is my favourite season - when it doesn't rain - so I can go for long walks with my camera and photograph nature's beauty at its peak.
