Sitting upon Crown Point in the Columbia River Gorge is the Vista House. According to the Friends of Vista House website, The Vista House was built in 1917 as place for travelers to rest and refresh themselves as they made their way down the Gorge. On Sunday when I visited, the House was closed due to the freezing temperatures, but it didn't stop the throngs of visitors from parking around it and taking in the views. I took advantage of its closed doors and lack of people to capture this photo, which shows the sun and moon in one shot!
