Cedar Creek

This is Cedar Creek outside of Woodland, Washington, up above the Cedar Creek Grist Mill that I posted about last week. The last leaves of autumn are barely clinging to a few branches.

I still have unshared photos from my visit to the Lone Fir Cemetery two weekends ago, and I better get to posting them, because autumn is practically a thing of the past!

This is the largest mausoleum at Lone Fir, built here by Portland merchant and banker Donald Macleay in 1877 after his wife, Martha, died in childbirth. The two story building is also the tallest in the cemetery, with the first story being the burial crypt and the second story featuring a chapel.

Fungi Family

It's Monday again, and in the autumn on Mondays, I typically post a macro mushroom photo. Today is no different. I cannot help my mushroom photography addiction. When I see a little fungi family, it is irresistible for me to get down and photograph them!
