Elowah Falls and McCord Creek

The short drive and hike to Elowah Falls has won my heart. From my home it only takes about 15 minutes to drive, and it is less than a mile to hike to this gorgeous waterfall. The last two times I have gone, I have arrived and stayed between visitors, meaning I get the entire place to myself. To get to this vantage point slightly downstream from the falls on McCord Creek, it does take some pretty gnarly scrambling down into a deep ravine, but don't you think it is worth the view?

  1. This is beautiful and made me think back to our cabin as a kid. It was on a mountain and had a creek and waterfall that we used to climb up (with difficulty) to the top and come back down...Surprised nobody got hurt...Great memories...Michelle
