Inline

If you have been following my photography for any length of time, you probably have realized that I have quite an addiction to photographing fungus and mushrooms. I am pretty excited because now that the temperatures are rising, the chances of finding fungus are increasing. I have been keeping my eyes peeled for them when out walking, such as this inline grouping of shelf fungus, AKA bracket fungus.

  6. They are endlessly fascinating photography subjects Sarah, I feel the same draw as you do, something about life longing to be even on the side or back of something else that has died or is dying. Thanks as always for sharing the love up-close with I Heart Macro.

  12. Fungus and mushrooms are very fun - unfortunately, I don't find much here in south Texas - until we have a rain. Then lichen appear everywhere. So neat. This is a great shot!

  13. It's funny, I also tend to photograph fungus seen on my walks, but I never seem to post them. Might have to remedy that! ☺

  14. That's a great shot. We have lots of fungus and mushrooms in the forest near our cabin. They can be in such great variety. - Margy
