Barge on the Columbia River

barge on Columbia River at dusk ©www.hoodphotography.com

I went down to my favorite spot on the Columbia River in hopes of a spectacular sunset at dusk. While I was rather disappointed that the goal of my trip was not to come true because the low lying clouds were just a bit too think this night, I did get to be impressed by the sheer size and power of this huge barge heading east against the strong river current.

  6. The textures in the sky remind me of how the ocean looks. I think this is simply marvelous photo. What a blessing you saw and shared with us this week.

  8. That is a great shot - no need to be disappointed. The splash of red reflection on the water completes it. Thanks for sharing.
