I was looking to leave the Mt Hood area for a day trip and found Moulton Falls online. When I decided to travel about 20 minutes west of Battle Ground, Washington, I was not sure what to expect from the waterfall I had read about. Upon my arrival at the park, I had a bit of an adventure navigating the volcanic rock formations along the Lewis River to find a decent vantage point in which to take a photo of the falls. I finally settled on a perch on a rock that poked out somewhat above the crazy canyon that the water violently flows through and snapped away. Let me tell you, it is an experience and a sight to be had.
Upon getting home and uploading the photo, I noticed that the rock in the center of the turbulent water resembles a lions face. Do you see it?
