Pink Coneflower

pink and green coneflower ©www.hoodphotography.com

These pink coneflowers are from the echinacea family. They continue to bloom in my front garden box since we have not had a freeze yet this autumn. I purposely waited to take this photo until the flowers were just past their prime. Once the petals started to turn upwards you are easily able to see how they are green on the underside.
