Trillium Bud

One last trillium photo for this spring. The trillium season comes and goes very fast, especially in the sunny weather we had been having last week. Because they are my favorite flower, I try to take as many photos of them as I can before the end of their short blooming life.

Lunar Eclipse

The first lunar eclipse of 2014 happened over Monday night into Tuesday morning. The total phase of the eclipse started at 12:08am PST. I went out into my backyard with my camera at about 11pm and started to take some photos. Disappointingly, clouds moved in right about 11:45 and I was only able to see slight glimpses of the total phase and missed all of the blood red hue. But I was able to make this mini-collage of what I was able to capture before the cloud cover moved in.

Sunlit Dew Drops

Each morning, my lawn is covered in beautiful dew drops, and during the recent sunnier weather we have enjoyed, the droplets sparkle in the morning sun.

Under a Mushroom

Weather around here has turned very nice lately. We have enjoyed a full week of sunny skies and warmer temperatures. When the temperatures rise after months of soggy wet weather, mushrooms are sure to appear, and I am sure to go out with my camera to hunt them!
