Golden Light over the Columbia River Gorge

I always swing into the Portland Womens Forum when I am in Corbett, Oregon to take in the view of the Vista House on Crown Point. I almost did not get out of the car to take this photo, but I am glad I did because it turned out being quite a gorge-ous display with the golden light hitting the waters of the Columbia River below and the moody clouds above.

Mt. Hood's Frog Lake

I spent the good part of Sunday afternoon enjoying the sunny weather at Frog Lake. There was a slight breeze and not a cloud in the sky, so the temperatures were in the high 60's and low 70's. There was only a few people at the lake, enjoying fishing off the banks and checking out the tadpoles in the water. I ventured from my favorite spot on the south east side of the lake up to this point on the north side to capture Mt Hood peeking over the trees. Because of the breeze, I slowed down my shutter speed to show the clearness of the water, despite the choppy surface. A perfect way to spend the end of a weekend!

Ponytail Falls

After work yesterday I took the short hike up to Ponytail Falls in the Columbia River Gorge with my son and a friend. There were very few people to be seen during our adventure, and we had the falls all to ourselves. Everything was so green and lush. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon!
