Oregon's Painted Hills

Everyone has heard of the seven wonders of the world, but Oregon has it's own set of wonders. I have visited most of them, but had not been to the Painted Hills since I was a kid. We traveled there and I got to take in the beauty myself. This was the view from a point off the access road that I wandered down to in order to escape the crowds of people at the overlook. Here we could stand and take in the scenery in peace.

  1. Breathtakingly beautiful. I'm reminded of the Badlands in the Dakotas and Alberta.

  5. I saw the Little Painted Desert in Arizona and was fascinated. I didn't realize there were similar things in other states. We really do have a beautiful and varied country, don't we?
