Neskowins Island

I might as well share one last photo of Proposal Rock, where I often found myself pointing my lens during a recent trip to Neskowin. Proposal Rock is a sea stack just at the edge of the ocean, named for the turn of the century marriage proposal of Charles Gage to Della Page. I wandered back up the beach along Slab Creek and snapped this photo, with the sun barely shining through the thick storm clouds collecting above. I love me a good coastal storm!

  1. A did a little traveling around OR and wish I'd had a better camera. None of it looked like this, wow. The shore looks graceful where it's wearing away from the waves. Beautiful shot.

  5. Wow, a mysteriously looking island. We also have a lot of islands here as we are archipelagic, although of course different vegetation.
